Baked Pamonha (With Canned Corn)

The practicality of this oven tamale is such that you will be surprised!

Ingredients

  • 250 ml whole milk

  • 40 grams of grated parmesan cheese

  • 1 cup (tea) of sugar

  • 2 cans of green corn

  • 2 tablespoons of butter

  • 4 tablespoons cornstarch

  • Butter or margarine for greasing the mold

Directions

  • Add the drained and washed corns to the blender, add the whole milk and beat for 2 minutes.
  • With the help of a spoon pass the liquid through a sieve into a container, add the butter, sugar and stir well.
  • Add the grated parmesan cheese, cornstarch and stir again until the dough is uniform.
  • Transfer the dough to a greased shape with butter or margarine and place inside a larger roasting pan with a little water and cover with aluminum foil.
  • Bake the dessert in a bain-marie in a preheated oven at 180º₢ for approximately 60 minutes.
  • Wait for the candy to cool down before unmolding it and the oven tamale is ready to be cut and served.
