Ingredients
1/2 cup (tea) of water
1 and 1/2 cup sugar
3 cups of coconut (chopped)
Directions
- Put the coconut cut into cubes, the sugar, the water in a pan and stir well.
- Light the fire and as soon as it boils, don’t stop stirring.
Reduce the heat when it thickens and keep stirring constantly. - Cook until caramelized, turn off the heat and keep stirring until the sugar dries up and sticks to the coconut cubes.
- Transfer the cubes to a greased shape with butter or margarine and spread well.
Let it cool down and the caramelized coconut is ready.
