Your Easy-to-Make Chocolate Mousse will be great if you use these ingredients below and follow the step-by-step instructions.

Ingredients

  • 4 eggs, separated

  • 1 cup (240 ml) of milk

  • 1 cup (200g) sugar

  • 2 tablespoons cocoa powder

  • 1 tablespoon vanilla essence

  • 1 cup (240 ml) whipping cream, chilled

  • Grated chocolate to decorate

Directions

  • In a medium saucepan, combine the whole eggs, milk, sugar, cocoa powder and vanilla extract.
  • Bring the mixture to medium heat, stirring constantly, until it thickens and forms a creamy mixture. 
    Remove from heat and let cool.
  • Beat the egg whites until they are stiff and form peaks.
  • In another container, beat the fresh cream until it forms peaks.
  • Add half of the egg whites to the chocolate mixture and mix gently.
  • Add the rest of the whites and mix again.
  • Add the fresh cream mixture and mix gently until the mousse is smooth.
  • Spoon the mousse into glasses or a large container and refrigerate for at least 2 hours to set.
  • When ready to serve, sprinkle grated chocolate over the mousse.
