Attempted recovery after failed encounter
On Friday, a meeting between Zensky and Trump in the White House ran out on a fight, after which the US suspended the delivery of weapons and ammunition to Ukraine. This could have major consequences for the defense of the country against Russian attacks.
Zensky called the situation “regretted” and indicated that he “wants to work together and communicate constructively together”. In an attempt to restore the relationship, he makes a number of proposals, including an exchange of prisoners and a temporary suspension of the war in the air and at sea.
