Crypto influencer and expert Ben Armstrong, also known as BitBoy, announced via the social media platform X that he expects the XRP price to rise to $4.50 soon. For this, he believes, it is essential that the popular altcoin first breaks the resistance at $2.75. If XRP succeeds, a bull rally could follow and the price could explode.
Resistance level at $2.75
Currently, XRP is trading around $2.19, which means the price needs to rise by over 25% to attack the key resistance at $2.75. That requires quite a bit of bullish momentum. The growth of Ripple’s own stablecoin, RLUSD, may contribute to this.
RLUSD growth important for XRP
Ripple’s new stablecoin RLUSD is growing steadily. Since launching on December 17, RLUSD has built a total market capitalization of $72.6 million. However, a large portion—about $53 million—was mined by Ripple itself.
Furthermore, for the success of the XRP Ledger (XRPL) ecosystem, it is important that RLUSD is actively used on the XRPL network. Currently, only about $10 million of the RLUSD is on XRPL, with the rest on Ethereum (ETH).

If XRP actually reaches a price of $4.50 in early 2025, it would be a new all-time high, surpassing the previous high of $3.40 set in 2018. Compared to the current price of $2.19, this would represent an increase of approximately 105%.
