
This Sunday, May 18, the 2025 legislative elections are held in the City of Buenos Aires. The National Electoral Chamber (CNE) has already enabled the final electoral roll so that citizens can consult their vote.
In these elections, the open, simultaneous and mandatory primaries (step) have been suspended in the city by decision of the Buenos Aires legislature. Therefore, there will be no instance of primary, as in the national legislative elections of October.
The election is to renew 30 of the 60 benches of the Legislature of the City of Buenos Aires.
According to the last record they are enabled to pay 2,526,676 of registered citizens.
The vote in CABA will be carried out using the electronic single ballot system. In the dark room, a tactile screen device will show the official lists so that the voters select that of their preference and print their unique ballot.
The valid documents to issue the suffrage are the civic notebook, enrollment book, green ID, Celeste DNI and DNI card (even if it contains the legend “not valid to vote”).
As established by the CABA Electoral Code, it is not allowed to vote with a document whose copy is prior to the one in the electoral roll. Nor can those who present the “DNI on your cell phone” in their digital version. Instead, it is possible to cover if a subsequent version is presented to the document registered in the register.
This Wednesday, at its campaign closure, the Left Front Unit closed its campaign at the Buenos Aires Obelisk and called to get 120,000 votes for Vanina Biasi and Luca Bonfante to enter the Buenos Aires Legislature.
