On Friday, October 4, 500 police officers invaded the Once neighborhood. They were not looking for brands that use slave labor, nor for trafficking networks or the businesses they themselves run; obvious. They kidnapped the merchandise of hundreds of manteros and manteras. Most families work on the streets to supplement their income in other jobs.

“We came to take over the place,” said Waldo Wolff, the City’s anti-poor commander.

But since that day the demand and resistance of those hundreds of migrants who were left with nothing returned. “We are workers” they say. “We want to work” they sing. “They are the mafia, if they regularize us their jobs will end.”

La Izquierda Diario gave the word to those who search for it day after day. Jorge Macri already has the big media to discriminate against them.
