From 5 p.m., the different delegations of faculties located in the City of Buenos Aires and the Buenos Aires suburbs began to arrive at the obelisk area. They mobilized towards the Plaza de Mayo and then continued towards the CGT headquarters to demand that the labor union join the next university march.

Students from UNPAZ participated, self-convened from the South Zone, UBA, UNA of Audiovisuals, Visuals and Arts Criticism, self-convened inter-claister coordinator of the Faculty of Exact Sciences of the UBA, CeFyL, Inter-cloister Assembly of the UNGS, Normal 5, self-convened students from UNLAM, UNSAM Science and Technology Student Center. There were workers from Aerolíneas Argentinas who mobilized in solidarity with the students, as well as the Ademys teaching union, the retirees who have been mobilizing every Wednesday in front of Congress, the Constitution Assembly, San Cristobal y Monserrat and the Health Post among other organizations. .

The City Police were on the scene following the demonstration. However, the students were firm in their defense of public education and the need to continue organizing to face the Government’s adjustment.

In front of the historic headquarters of the CGT, they demanded that the labor union call a national strike to redouble the struggle and take steps to build unity between workers and students to tear down the entire adjustment plan of the libertarian government.

Among the demands of the mobilization were:

  • Educational budget NOW. Let’s reject the 2025 budget and the entire Milei and IMF plan, money for health and education.
  • We reject the CIN policy against occupations, assemblies and student organization.
  • We reject the persecution of the efforts of teachers who teach public classes as at the UBA and the UNA.
  • For the student worker unity
  • Enough of repression and persecution of the sectors in struggle
