Chinese company Ubtech Robotics has announced the launch of a royalid humanoid robot focusing on research applications.

The model, called Tien Kung Xingzhe, is priced at 299,000 yuans (equivalent to approximately US $ 41,200) and is now available for pre-order.

The delivery is scheduled to start in the second quarter of 2025, according to a statement issued by the company on Wednesday (12).

The launch occurs at a time when China’s robotics sector seeks to develop highly cost high complexity technological solutions, in anticipation of the mass production of the Tesla Optimus robot, scheduled for the end of this year.

Tien Kung Xingzhe was developed in collaboration with the Beijing Humanoid Robot Innovation Center, also known as X-Humanoid. According to UBTECH, the model is an update of the Tien Kung version presented in April 2024.

At 1.7 meters high, the robot was designed for research projects that require greater mechanical resistance and operational stability. The model offers adaptation capacity for additional components, such as handling sensors, Nvidia’s Jetson Orin Computing Kit and five -finger -handed handling systems.

The company said Tien Kung Xingzhe is able to get around up to 10 kilometers per hour, maintaining balance and accuracy on various land, including inclined surfaces, stairs, sand and snow. The robot is also designed to support shocks and resist external interference during the operation.

The introduction of the new model expands the competition in the humanoid robot segment, which still faces challenges related to the production scale and the final cost of equipment. Currently, many of the models available on the market are more expensive, smaller in size or not ready for large -scale manufacturing.

One of Tien Kung Xingzhe’s main competitors is the Chinese start-up robot H1. At 1.8 meters high, the model gained national visibility by participating in a cultural presentation during the Lunar New Year gala broadcast by China Central Television in January. H1 is being marketed by 650,000 yuans.

Another example is the PM01 model, developed by Engineai, also headquartered in Shenzhen. The robot was launched in December 2024 and is being sold by 88,000 yuans by the end of March. The PM01 is 1.38 meters high and is focused on specific applications, focusing on cost accessibility.

In the input segment, the SA01 model, a Bipede robot without the upper body, is available from US $ 5,400. The equipment was developed for basic mobility functions and has simplified structure.

UBTECH has stated that the goal with Tien Kung Xingzhe is to provide a functional and adaptable platform for research centers and academic institutions interested in applied robotics.

The company also stressed that the model could be used in controlled environments for simulations of field operations, mobility tests and development of embedded artificial intelligence systems.

The Chinese robotics industry has intensified investments in the development of robots with human characteristics, seeking to integrate advances in movement control, environmental perception and computational processing.

Humanoid robots are expected to perform functions in sectors such as logistics, technical assistance, surveillance, public service and support for industrial operations.

The prospect of entry into the low -cost models market with functional structure reinforces the strategy of local manufacturers to expand the reach of technology in non -fully automated sectors.

Price reduction is also seen as a central element to enable the expansion of the application of humanoid robots in emerging markets and small businesses.

As the Optimus robot production is approached by Tesla, Chinese companies accelerate their projects in an attempt to consolidate presence in the global advanced robotics market.

Competition involves not only technological development, but also marketing and adapting strategies to different use profiles.

UBTECH has not yet disclosed details about eventual commercial versions of Tien Kung Xingzhe nor about the possibility of large -scale manufacturing. The company said it will continue to develop solutions aimed at scientific research and the training of professionals specializing in robotics.
