Epstein and Trump in 1997 – they were close for years, but Trump says they broke up in the early 2000s
United States parliamentarians released on Monday (09/08) a copy of a “birthday book” delivered in 2003 to financier Jeffrey Epstein, convicted of pedophilia and killed in 2019 while awaiting trial for other accusations. The material includes a score allegedly written and signed by the US President Donald Trump today.
The book with messages to Epstein for its 50th birthday was released by American parliamentarians along with a series of documents that include Epstein’s will and his personal agenda, in which contacts of British royalty members, celebrities, businessmen, models and politicians from various countries appear.
Epstein estate lawyers sent documents to the House Supervision Committee after being summoned last month for the delivery of various documents, including the birthday book.
The White House denied the authenticity of Trump’s alleged grade, which brought a drawing of the female body, and said that the president “did not make the drawing and signed it.” He also stated that the signature present in the image does not correspond to his. President Donald Trump did not comment on the release of the note.
Trump’s alleged letter is released while the president faces increasing pressure, including allies and members of his own republican party, as transparent about what investigations on Epstein revealed.
The 238-page book was prepared in 2003 for Epstein’s 50th anniversary by British Ghislaine Maxwell, Epstein’s ex-girlfriend and accomplice. She was convicted in 2021 for conspiracy in sexual trafficking of minors.
This material, which includes Trump’s alleged message, was produced three years before allegations of epstein sexual abuse became public. Epstein was first indicted in 2006 in Florida, accused of a state crime of prostitution request.
Trump and Epstein were friends for several years, but the US president said he fell out with Epstein in the early 2000s after the financier hired employees of his resort in Mar-Lago, Florida.
Titled “The First Fifty Years”, the book brings together messages allegedly sent by people linked to Epstein.
When the existence of the note assigned to Trump was revealed by the Wall Street Journal in July 2025, the US president said she was “false” and denied being her author. Trump sued reporters, editors and executives of the newspaper, including Rupert Murdoch, owner of News Corp, claiming compensation of $ 10 billion (about $ 55 billion). There has been no final decision on the process yet.
Democrats of the House Supervision Committee released the image on Monday after receiving it from the Epstein estate. The White House said that “President Trump did not draw this image and did not signed it.” | Reproduction X
Now, months later, parliamentarians of the Democratic Party published on the social network X an image of the supposed birthday letter before the official disclosure of the material and other documents of Epstein by the House Supervision Committee.
Here’s the content of the supposed text, translated:
Voice-off: There must be more in life than to have everything.
Donald: Yes, there, but I don’t say what it is.
Jeffrey: Neither me, since I also know what it is.
Donald: We have certain things in common, Jeffrey.
Jeffrey: Yes, we have, on second thought.
Donald: Puzzles never grow old, did you notice that?
Jeffrey: In fact, it became clear to me the last time I saw you.
Donald: A friend is something wonderful. Happy Birthday – and may it be another wonderful secret every day.
Donald J. Trump
Robert Garcia, Democratic parliamentarian at the Republican -led camera supervision committee, said Trump said “that this birthday note did not exist.” “Now we know that Donald Trump was lying and doing everything he could to cover up the truth,” Garcia said.
The note, supposedly signed by Trump, contains several lines of text, with the latter saying, “Happy birthday – and may it be another wonderful secret every day.”
In a statement, the committee’s republican president, James Era, accused the democrats of “selecting documents and politicizing information” received from the Epstein estate.
“Supervision Committee Republicans are focused on conducting a complete investigation to bring transparency and liability to survivors of Epstein’s heinous crimes and the American people,” he said.
In addition to the birthday book, parliamentarians released an agreement signed in 2007 between Epstein and federal prosecutors from the US Attorney’s Office to the southern Florida district. Epstein’s personal agenda with contacts added over almost 30 years has also been released.
After the Democrats issued the note on Monday, White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt said that “President Trump’s legal team will continue to aggressively seek the dispute” against the Wall Street Journal.
Who else appears in the book?
In addition to the note assigned to Trump, there is another that was allegedly written by former American President Bill Clinton, in which he mentions Epstein’s “child curiosity”.
A spokesman for Clinton acknowledged that he knew Epstein at the time, but said he was unaware of his crimes. The BBC sought the Clinton Foundation and a former president’s lawyer to comment on the book released by American parliamentarians.
The material also includes a birthday message from former British minister Peter Mandelson, now the United Kingdom ambassador in the United States, who called Epstein “my best friend.”
Sought by the BBC, a Mandelson spokesman said he always made it clear to regret that he was presented to Epstein.
British prince Andrew, brother of King Charles 3, is quoted briefly in the book. In a note, an unidentified woman claims to have met Andrew, Clinton and Trump through Epstein, as well as several celebrities. She adds that she has “seen the private quarters of Buckingham Palace” and “sat on the throne of the Queen of England.”
Andrew faced accusations in the Epstein case and denied any irregularity. In 2022, he signed an agreement with American Virginia Giuffre to terminate an open lawsuit against him on charges of sexual abuse.
Giuffre was suing Andrew, claiming that he sexually assaulted her on three occasions when she was 17 in 2001. She said that that year Epstein took her to London and introduced her to Prince Andrew.
Giuffre died in April 2025 at the age of 41. Her family stated that the cause of death was suicide.
In July 2025, President Trump told journalists aboard Air Force One that Giuffre was one of the young employees’ stolen employees of his resort spa in Florida, Mar-ago, which led to their departure, he said. “He stole her, and by the way she had no complaints from us, you know. None.”
