A formation of the Sarmiento line train is derailed near the Liniers station, about 100 meters from a level crossing located in the area of the intersection of Timoteo Gordillo and Rivadavia Avenue.
The mismatch occurred around 15:50 in the afternoon this Tuesday. Faced with this event, the passengers were forced to descend from the formations: there are at least 20 injured and nine were transported with multiple injuriesincluding minors. Fortunately, there were no fatalities. Some incidents developed at the Once station due to the anger of the passengers.

Workers of the National Railway Orange group, of the Movement of Classist Groups (MAC) denounced: “We clearly say that the National government is responsible for the emptying and disinvestment, leaving an obsolete infrastructure without maintenance, it is worth remembering that a little more than 20 days ago a similar event also occurred on the Urquiza railway, causing a train crash, leaving several injured. In turn, in September the La Fraternidad union carried out force and work measures according to regulations, denouncing said lack of investment and looting.”
And they added “From the Orange Railway we have been denouncing for years that the lack of investment in rolling stock and infrastructure The result will be that we have predictable and perfectly avoidable accidents. We demand the re-nationalization of the railway system and an appropriate works plan, to provide the user and workers with a quality and safe service.”
