The veto on university financing, which was confirmed in Deputies by the Milei government and its accomplice caste of Macrista friends, radicals and a sector of Peronism, only increased the struggle. The student and teaching tide is growing throughout the country with takeovers of faculties and schools, assemblies and actions. The survey by La Izquierda Diario confirmed that there were already combat measures in at least 38 national universities.
Milei managed to pass the veto, but awakened the student movement, which in recent days has stood up in Buenos Aires, CABA, Córdoba, Santa Fe, Mendoza, Jujuy, Tucumán, Salta, Río Negro, San Juan, San Luis, Chubut and other provinces.
In many cases the assemblies were self-convened by the students themselves, challenging the leadership itself.
And this is just beginning. For the week ahead, assemblies have already been called to discuss how to continue the struggle throughout the country. The idea is to build a common fight plan, based on grassroots organizations, to take action with public classes to continue making this fight visible and massifying and joining forces with the teachers who will go on strike again on Thursday the 17th. From the Youth of the PTS it is also proposed to build a great national day with actions, street blocks and public classes by university, at the same time to demand that there be a Third National Educational March and the broadest unity between the different sectors in struggle, workers health, retirees, aeronautics, students and teachers. For a national strike and a plan to fight until the adjustment of the Milei government and the IMF is defeated.
