This Tuesday from 4:30 p.m. those who are part of The “Save the Train” commission in the southern zone will meet in the hall of the Constitución station of the Roca railway to carry out an action to disseminate information among workers and users against its privatization, which was defined in a meeting that took place at the ATE Sur premises in Lomas de Zamora recently.
Self-convened assemblies of residents of CABA and Zona Sur, union and political groups, students from UBA, Unla, Undav, UNQ, Unaj and Unlz, members of the Posta de Salud and Ceprodh, teachers and workers from different sectors confirmed their presence as a show of support and commitment to a cause that affects all those who use the service daily.
“We are carrying out a large campaign with a petition, dissemination on social networks, workplaces and study places and countless actions” explained Ariel Somer of the Orange Railway Group. “We are receiving a lot of support, both from co-workers and from users of the service, who when we tell them that they are trying to re-privatize the railroad, they say they are against this measure, in many cases remembering how they were under business management,” said Gabriel Coelho, also part of the Orange. “We expect that the call will be attended by many sectors that have already confirmed that they will be in Constitución this Tuesday,” concluded Somer.
