The Israeli security cabinet approved during the early hours of Sunday the establishment of the so -called Migration Directorate, a new body that will manage the “voluntary transfer” of the residents of the Gaza Strip to a third country, as reported by the Israel Ministry of Defense.

This new agency will be managed by the Minister of Defense, Israel Katz, who will be in charge of “preparing and facilitating the safe and controlled transit of Gaza residents for voluntary departure to third countries,” according to this note. This includes “ensure its movement, establish a traffic route” and “coordinate the infrastructure that allows traffic by land, sea and air to the destination countries.”

“We are working with all the means to implement the vision of the US president and we will allow any Gaza resident to move to a third state,” Katz said.

At the beginning of February, the US president, Donald Trump, announced his intention to take control of the Gaza Strip to rebuild it and turn it into the new “Riviera de Oriente Medio” through the forced expulsion of more than two million gazaties to countries such as Egypt or Jordan, which have already been radically opposed to accept this type of measure.

In fact, the extraordinary summit of leaders of the Arab League, recently held, approved an Egypt Plan for the reconstruction of Gaza for a period of five years, without the expulsion of its population and with a cost of around 53,000 million dollars that has already been supported by countries such as Germany and the United Kingdom.

The head of Defense of Israel argues that this new Migration Directorate is “subject to Israeli and International Law”, despite the fact that the UN has warned, on numerous occasions, that “all deportation of occupied territory is prohibited.” In addition, the forced mobilization of minors is considered a war crime, in accordance with international law.

Almost 700 Palestinians dead after the rupture of the high fire

With the resumption of Israeli bombings against the strip, the Israeli army, as previously did, is imposing forced displacements to the Palestinian population, especially to which he returned to the north after the arrival of the Alto El Fuego, last January 19.

Israel broke the high fire in the devastated strip last Tuesday, March 18 and since then the Israeli attacks have claimed the lives of at least 673 people and have left more than a thousand people injured.

This has caused that the total number of deaths in the Gaza Strip since the beginning of the Israeli military offensive in October 2023 has reached 50,021 people on Sunday after the last bombings against the Palestinian enclave, according to data provided by the Gazatí Ministry of Health.
