Estremadura
The fire progresses without control in the front of Jarilla, north of the province of Cáceres. This Sunday is his sixth day and has already burned 11,000 hectares, and is “completely runaway” on his north flank, so he has given a warning to Castilla y León due to the possibility that he can enter its territory. Galicia
More than 50,000 hectares burned and up to 12 active fires in Galicia, all in the province of Ourense. The Porto de Sanabria fire is complicated in Zamora due to a storm with changing winds of up to 50 kilometers per hour, and advances quickly to Ourense. The 1,350 residents of the town remain evacuated. The Mozyuelas fire of La Carballeda, which aims to be the largest in the history of Spain with more than 31,500 hectares affected and in which two young people have died in extinction work in Nogarijas (León), also evolves satisfactorily. And that of Pors, despite some reproductions, it has been possible to reduce its alert level to 1.
This Sunday, Pedro Sánchez has visited together with the president of the Board Fernández Mañueco the burned area in the Villablino region (León), where the head of the Autonomous Executive has requested more means of the Army and the European Civil Protection mechanism to reinforce the operation. After the visit, Fernández Mañueco has accused Sánchez on social networks of not having facilitated the resources of the fire army: “We are still waiting,” he lamented.
Corted roads and trains
Thirteen Spanish roads, two of them national, are still cut this Sunday because of forest fires, the General Directorate of Traffic (DGT) has reported. The two affected national roads are in Castilla-León the N-621, between Portilla de la Reina (León) and Varjo (Cantabria); and in Galicia the N-525, between Guimarei and As I stowed (Ourense). The rest of the affected roads are secondary from Asturias, León, Zamora, Cáceres and Ourense.
