The China that won the war and memory that the West erases

We live a time marked by regressions in various fields. In politics, the rise of the far right, the attempt to build a “lawless world” from the United States and genocide in Gaza demonstrate the moral failure of the West. This moral bankruptcy is evidenced in the full support of the so -called “collective West” to the genocide perpetrated by Israel in the same historical time in which its leaders refused to celebrate the 80th anniversary of victory in World War II in Moscow. Falsify the story. They deny the true story to the world erasing that the Soviet Union and China were the countries with the greatest sacrifices paid in that war.

The story cannot be erased. In short, China played a significant but often neglected role in World War II. China was the first country to get into war with Japan, and its resistance maintained a large part of the Japanese army occupied throughout the war. This significantly impacted Japan’s ability to design power in other regions, particularly in the Pacific theater of operations, and helped the allied war effort. China was recognized as one of the “four great” allied powers and a founding member of the United Nations.

Not only that, because the invasion in the northeast region of China in 1931 by Japan was the prelude to World War II itself and where a series of experiments that would be consolidated with the Nazi war machine would be tested. It is added, between the dead and injured Chinese, about 35 million people. A catastrophe was slaughtered over the Chinese people, including the slavery of children, collective rapes of women, use of chemical weapons and bacteriological war even before Auschwitz and the German final solution against the Jewish people. Nanjing’s massacre was one of the most horrible episodes filed by humans against the human being with the murder of 300,000 people in just a few days.

Opening parenthesis, we may call the great world wars, notably the first and second, but also the other looting wars against the poor countries as preludes to the moral bankruptcy of the West we watched today. This same West that erases the true history of World War II, even denying the admiration that many leaders of colonial powers by Hitler today submits the world to military and economic conflicts, make it even more vulnerable countries while being unable to deliver a better life to their own populations. Since Germany and Japan have tried to submit the world to their wishes in World War II, today the United States also try to impose on the world an order based on conventional and economic wars, export and inspire far-right sects around the world showing that even after the Nazi defeat in World War II, fascism remains alive than ever.

On the other hand, China led by the Communist Party of China continues to show that humanity, as in World War II, can win. The same Communist Party of China (CCP) that today commands the largest process of human emancipation in history played a central role in the victory of the Chinese people in the war against the aggression filed by Japan. If the CCCH currently delivers to the world a China that desires the peace and independence of all peoples in a world based on World War II was the main active force in China against Japanese occupation. Combining modern guerrilla tactics-which have worn the enemy on all fronts-and political amplitude by proposing Kuomintang and the other political forces of the country unit against the external enemy, the CCP won the hearts and minds of the Chinese people, becoming the true “party of the Chinese nation”.

At the time of the Japanese invasion China still lived the time of the “century of humiliations.” The emergence of the CCP in the political scene of the country in the early 1920s of the last century marked a turning point in this situation. The defeat of the Japanese fascist and militaristic enemy and the great role of the China Communist Party to unite the people are pages that history can never erase. According to Xi Jinping in a speech to Victory Day in 2015:

“The victory in the War of Resistance of the Chinese people against Japanese aggression was the first total victory that the Chinese people have gained in their struggles against foreign aggression since modern times. This great victory definitely frustrated the plot of Japanese militarism to colonize and enslave China, washing the national humiliation of continuous failures against foreign aggressors since modern times. China’s position as a large country on the international scene, allowing the Chinese people to obtain respect for peace -loving peoples around the world. This transcendental victory represented the Renaissance of China, opened the bright perspectives for the great revitalization of the Chinese nation, and began a new journey of the millennial country. ”

In fact, history repeats itself with the same political force that played a fundamental role in the victory of humanity in World War II being the political party that directs China towards the construction of “socialism with Chinese characteristics”, giving dignity to its people and pointing to all the peoples of the world that we are far from the end of history. Leading the Chinese people against Japanese occupation and today, building a rich, prosperous and decent socialist country demonstrates that the world can be a much better place to live. Another struggle for humanity we are fighting in our time!
