
The Secretary General of Podemos, Ione Belarra, has been ratified this Saturday to revalidate her leadership at the head of the party with 90% of the votes of the registration who have voted in the fifth citizen assembly of the training, but with a strong fall in participation with respect to 2021. In this congress they have issued a vote 27,172 people registered of the party, 24,417 people less than those who participated in the assembly four years ago, 51,589 valid votes were issued. The participation of purple bases descend almost halfway.
We can start an internal stage in which it seeks to reinforce the tandem with the former Equality Minister, Irene Montero, which will lead the electoral candidacy for the training for the general elections
Belarra’s re -election was assured, being the only candidate who gathered the guarantees to opt for the General Secretariat, and its list also Copa also the highest management body, the State Citizen Council where it keeps its hard core, made up of Montero – his number two – the secretary of Organization, Pablo Fernández, the co -man Julio Rodríguez and various deputies and regional coordinators.
The address also renews with the inclusion of a dozen activists (among which the referent of the Trans Mar Cambroll Movement), the journalist and advisor of RTVE Mariano Muniesa, and the ex -analysis of the party and political scientist Dina Bousselham stands out.
With respect to 2021, some of the best known faces of the party fall from the Citizen Council, such as export Pablo Echenique – who has participated in this assembly to support the party -, former deputy Rafa Mayoral and former State Secretary of State Angela Rodríguez ‘Pam’. The party ensures that with all of them it has a good relationship and that they have decided to leave the first political line.
