Thursday of protest against hunger and adjustment from early in the morning. In Puente Pueyrredón, the organizations that make up the Piquetero Fighting Front held a block on Miter Avenue demanding the immediate delivery of food to soup kitchens. A strong repressive operation was concentrated there, by the Prefecture and the Federal Police. With it, the protesters were prevented from moving towards the City of Buenos Aires.

Since the mobilization, Lucho Aguilar, chronicler of The Daily Leftshowed the important repressive operation and spoke with some of the leaders and leaders of the organizations that mobilized.

A little earlier other organizations had gathered in Plaza Congreso. Social organizations set up a tent for a protest that includes several activities, including the installation of a tent and a series of talks against hunger and adjustment. There they gathered, among others, Polo Obrero Tendencia, Coordinator for Social Change, CTA Autónoma, MST Teresa Vive, FTC-M29, FOL, MAR, Libres del Sur.

“We denounce the adjustment and hunger policies of the government of Javier Milei and Minister Sandra Pettovello, who refused to deliver 6 thousand tons of food while the economic crisis accelerates, salaries and incomes are liquefied by inflation and they hit us with new rates,” they expressed through a press release.

During the activity – which lasted until after noon – the national deputy Alejandro Vilca (PTS-FITU) was present to give his support to this claim.

Thursday 6 – from 10am – Congress – TENT AGAINST HUNGER

This Thursday the 6th, the block of social organizations that make up Territories in Struggle will carry out different activities in front of the National Congress, to make visible once again the very serious situation we are experiencing, given the lack of food assistance.

In the Tent Against Hunger, we will expose the countless activities that we carry out every day, in community spaces: dining room, picnic area, production areas, childhood space, popular education, health and gender, among others.

We denounce the adjustment and hunger policies of the government of Javier Milei and Minister Sandra Pettovello, who refused to deliver 6 thousand tons of food while the economic crisis accelerates, salaries and incomes are liquefied by inflation and they hit us with new rates.

While layoffs continue, misery increases and 70% of children are poor, senators and deputies scandalously increase their salaries, while complaints continue about embezzlement and corruption within the Ministry of Human Capital itself. They are the corrupt ones, not the social organizations that have been supporting spaces of containment and work for more than two decades.

HUNGER ADVANCES AND DOES NOT WAIT. The drama of millions of children with empty bellies cannot be resolved by firing officials, nor with media scandals, much less by letting food expire in 7 warehouses.
Enough of the cynical and shameful excuses.

MILEI IS HUNGER.
HUNGER IS A CRIME.
