Strategy in the problems about Bitcoin strategy
Investors are not pleased with how Strategy has informed them about their daring Bitcoin (BTC) strategy. According to them, the risks and promised profit prospects are much more brighter than they actually were. That led to a major legal step: a Class Action rights case that has been brought to a federal court in Virginia.
The indictment comes from Anas Hamza, who speaks on behalf of a larger group of shareholders. These are investors who bought shares in the company between 30 April 2024 and 4 April 2025, in a period in which strategy was full of BTC. What is their main point? That the company and the top men, including Michael Saylor, kept important information or twisted. It would then concern the real risks of their investments in the digital currency and the possible financial blows they could rise by new accounting rules for cryptos.
What does Strategy actually think of this? In a statement to the American stock market watchdog SEC, the company announced that it does not agree with the accusations and that it wants to defend itself “powerfully” against the allegations. At the same time, Strategy emphasizes that it cannot currently give an estimate of the outcome or the possible financial consequences of the lawsuit.
Strategy buys large again
Despite this legal storm, the company will continue to expand its cryptor reserves. Between 12 and 18 May the company bought for another 7,390 BTC for a total amount of $ 764.9 million, good for an average price of $ 103,498 per coin. This brings the total to no less than 576,230 BTC, with an average purchase price of $ 69,726.
