It is one of the first major protests after the October election. Milei was emboldened by the victory and announced a colonial pact with the US and a new “labor reform.” The CGT, on the other hand, cowered. As usual. Since that Sunday he only elected his authorities and met with the union representatives, who are 8. In other words, if it is because of them, we are in the oven.
But the resistance continues. In the conflicts that occur in Garrahan, the Río Santiago Shipyard, Ilva, Ingenio Ledesma and university professors. But also in the political center of the country, where organizations of retirees are once again leading a broader and stronger call than in recent weeks. Together with different sectors they are part of a mobilization that takes place this Wednesday. Among those accompanying you are the deputies and representatives of the Unity Left Front.
We came to accompany a delegation from the group of Wednesday retirees, who are once again mobilizing to defend their rights against Milei’s chainsaw and his accomplices. Their struggle is an example of dignity in times of adjustment. pic.twitter.com/O2e9AJAQSU

The slogan of the mobilization, on the eve of the “Day of Sovereignty”, has a clear message: “Against the surrender and the adjustment. Down with the government’s pact with Trump. Resume the resistance with more strength.”
In addition to the imperialist looting, it is reported that “they seek to impose laws and measures for their benefit and that of the employers. We retirees were and are the ones who confront Milei despite the repression we suffer every Wednesday. The social movements have been more violated, freezing their programs, taking away their food and persecuting them. But there are also sectors like the Garrahan that have managed to win the fight and obtain a 61% increase as a result of their unwavering fight. And we must accompany them in this moment of persecution that they are suffering where summary proceedings are applied to those who fight.

The picketer claim was added
The organizations that are part of the Piquetero Fighting Front (Polo Obrero, MTR, Torre) held a plenary session at the beginning of the month where they defined a series of measures to denounce the hunger experienced in the neighborhoods, the persecution they suffer but also the need to face labor reform together with the union organizations. That is why they are part of this day of struggle.

ATE called a national strike
“The labor reform and the recent agreement with the United States are closely linked. Work more and for less money to lower the costs of looting. Without a strike and mobilization we will not stop it,” they say from the leadership of ATE, the union of state workers.
They demand the reopening of joint ventures, against the emptying of the State and repression. The threats include complaints and statements by Minister Patricia Bullrich against the leader Rodolfo Aguiar.
They called a strike this Wednesday and carried out a mobilization at noon at the National Labor Secretariat. The protest also took place in other cities in the country. The strike, however, was not strongly prepared with prior assemblies or coordination with other sectors.
The Trade Union Front for Sovereignty, for example, is a grouping of unions from the CGT and the CTA that had been threatening to carry out more confrontational actions. Among its conveners are, in addition to ATE, Schmidt and Furlán of the CGT, as well as other unions.
However, one day before Sovereignty Day and in the middle of the Trump-Milei colonial pact, the Front does not call for any measures.
From the PTS and the classist groups – which make up the Movement of Classist Groups (MAC) – they are part of the calls, raising the need to advance in coordination against the reforms and adjustments, and demanding a general strike and a plan of struggle from the unions and workers’ centers.
