A South Korean researcher caused a stir in the crypto world this week with a remarkable prediction about XRP. Despite the coin’s struggling performance, he believes the XRP price could explode to dizzying heights in the next decade.
Researcher sees extreme XRP price targets as realistic
The prediction comes from YoungHoon Kim, a South Korean analyst active on
That statement led to strong reactions within the XRP community. Not surprising, because a rate of $1,000 means an increase of more than 53,000 percent compared to the current price.
Kim claims to have an IQ of 276, which would make him the “smartest person in the world.” That striking claim draws extra attention and fuels speculation that he may have unique insights. Remarkably, Kim was once an outspoken Bitcoin (BTC) maximalist.
In another post, Kim says he expects XRP to reach a new all-time high in 2026. It is currently around $3.65. Even that ‘more modest’ scenario implies a significant increase.
XRP price forecast: other analysts also extremely bullish
Kim is not the only one with a decidedly positive view of XRP. In a video recently shared by crypto commentator John Squire on
According to Claver, the crypto market is on the eve of a fundamental shift. He calls 2026 “the year of tokenization”, in which traditional financial products will be transferred en masse to the blockchain. In combination with a growing derivatives market, he sees an XRP price between $5,000 and $10,000 as theoretically feasible.
How realistic is an XRP price of $1,000?
However, such price expectations should be viewed with caution. An XRP price of $1,000 would result in a market capitalization of more than $60 trillion at the current circulating supply.
A price of $10,000 would even increase that figure to about $600 trillion. That’s about twenty times larger than the entire crypto market today, which is currently around $3 trillion.
Such growth would require unprecedented global adoption of XRP. Think of full integration into banking, governments and institutional systems through tokenization.
It seems extremely unlikely that such a scenario will occur as early as 2026. Even over a ten-year period, the question is whether the market can change in such a way that a valuation of $60 to $600 trillion is realistic.
