New attacks on Beirut, Israel continues to hit the city

Solidarity mobilizations throughout France this weekend and this week for Palestine and Lebanon
⚡️Given the escalation of war in Lebanon and the worsening of the situation in Gaza, mobilizations have been called throughout France. This Saturday they will take place in Paris, Lyon, Rennes, Montpellier, Nantes and Strasbourg. In Marseille a rally will be held on Sunday at 2:00 p.m. at the Porte d’Aix.

An Iranian leader dies in the Beirut attacks
⚡️According to Reuters, citing Iranian media, a deputy commander of the Revolutionary Guard, Abbas Nilforoushan, died during the raids in Beirut. He is the first high-ranking Iranian officer executed by Israel since the death of Mohammed Reza Zahedi, assassinated in Damascus in early April. Iran chose not to retaliate against the assassination of Ismaël Haniyeh in Tehran at the end of July, considering that it was not an attack against Iran and in order to obtain the lifting of certain sanctions by the United States. The Iranian regime is now more directly involved in the conflict.

Beyond Beirut, Israel bombs southern Lebanon and a refugee camp in Gaza.

⚡️In a statement, the Israeli army affirms that the leader of Hezbollah died in the series of attacks that shook Beirut last night.
⚡️If Israel has effectively managed to eliminate one of the most important figures of the so-called “axis of the Resistance”, under Iranian leadership, and a figure comparable to a head of state in Lebanon, this represents an unprecedented escalation in the Middle East. What you need to know this Saturday
⚡️Beirut was violently bombed throughout the night. After a first attack late yesterday afternoon, Israeli raids continued from midnight until dawn, after the army issued evacuation orders. The southern suburbs and Haret Hreik were the main affected. Aviation continues to fly over the airport.
⚡️ According to a new report from the Lebanese Ministry of Health, six people were killed and 91 injured in the initial attacks. The number of victims from the subsequent bombings is still unknown. The consequences of these bombings remain unpredictable. Israel has increased the intensity of its attacks to a level not seen since the 2006 war.
