Ripple strengthens its grip on the market for international payments. The blockchain company announces a global expansion of his collaboration with the Singaporean payment network Thunes.
Together they want to make international payment transactions faster, cheaper and more accessible – and put pressure on traditional players like Swift.
Ripple Payments is conquering site
The collaboration between Ripple and Thunes has been running since 2020, but is now being expanded considerably. Thanks to the link between Ripple’s Blockchainnetwerk and the real -time payment network of Thunes, companies and institutions can pay money worldwide in local currencies – even in hard -to -reach areas without a good banking network.
Ripple plays a strategic role in this: via Ripple Payments, banks, fintechs and crypto companies can transfer money to more than 90 markets faster. The system has now processed more than $ 70 billion in transactions.
Thunes pakt ‘last mile’ met blockchain
Thunes focuses on the final step of a payment – the so -called ‘last mile’. This is often the most difficult part of a cross -border payment, especially in developing countries with a limited financial infrastructure. By integrating Ripple’s technology into his Smartx Treasury System, Thunes gets direct access to new currencies and markets.
This makes Ripple customers make payments more easily in emerging economies. And that opens the door for faster global adoption of blockchain payments – without the intervention of traditional banks.
