At the factory gate, on Wednesday night, FATE workers gathered in the broadest solidarity to denounce that the Crisis Prevention Plan presented by Javier Madanes Quintanilla is bogus and to demand the reinstatement of the 97 dismissed workers.
They were present from the student centers of Social Sciences, Psychology and Philosophy and Letters of the UBA, from CEUNGS, from Science and Technology of UNSAM, from the university extension office of the student center of Social Work at UNLu, from the 9 de Abril groups of tertiary students, from Contraimagen at FADU and at UNA, and from EnClaveRoja. Also from the Posta de Salud y Cuidados and from CeProDH (center of professionals for human rights) and from the Asamblea de Virreyes, workers from the recovered Madygraf factory, from the food industry, and from Pilkington in struggle.
In recent months, the three major tire companies have stepped up their attacks on workers. The owner of Fate earned 192 million dollars, but is filing a crisis prevention plan. Using the argument of recession and lower sales, they launched a campaign of lies about their financial situation, with layoffs and the filing of Crisis Prevention Procedures (PPC).
All with the tire workers.
