Macro guru and Real Vision CEO Raoul Pal says he expects a “major breakout” for one specific crypto sector. In a new interview with the Empire Podcast, the former Goldman Sachs top banker says gaming apps are headed into a new phase of adoption.
He predicts a gigantic outbreak for that sector in the short term.
We see it happening
“When we see clear applications for large numbers of users, we see gaming. It’s starting to happen. I think there’s a big breakout coming for this sector,” said Raoul Pal.
Pal adds that he expects the massive adoption wave to not be limited to blockchain-based games. He says he expects a whole host of crypto applications to see an explosion in adoption in the coming months.
“But we have so many of these consumer apps. The old movement from Web2 to Web3 or the ‘old internet’ to the ‘new internet.’ That’s going to happen at scale and we’re really going to see that during this cycle,” predicts Raoul Pal.
He also expects huge price increases in the coming period. So it won’t just be adoption that will skyrocket. Of course, Raoul Pal isn’t here for adoption. Raoul Pal is here to make money.
Up like a rocket
Raoul Pal is currently quite optimistic about Solana in particular. He expects a 1,000 percent increase for the smart contract platform. While he also colors a 400 to 500 percent increase for Bitcoin for this bull run. That would be huge, because that would give Bitcoin a market cap of over 5 trillion dollars.
It would also push the Bitcoin price up to around $200,000. These are prices that we can’t really imagine at the moment. Let’s first try to shoot past the $100,000 level.
That would be a very nice target for the Bitcoin price for the 2024/2025 bull run.
Raoul Pal also believes that there is still a huge opportunity for investors in a new layer-1 blockchain. As we saw two cycles ago with Ethereum and during the previous cycle with Solana.
