Pump! Mossad participated in espionage scheme against the Italian government

A private Italian intelligence company, Equalizeis under investigation following allegations that it hacked into government databases to collect information on thousands of notable individuals, including politicians, businesspeople and celebrities.

Reports released on October 30 indicate that the company may be collaborating with Israeli intelligence and the Vatican.

Telephone intercepts leaked to the press indicate that the Equalizewhich has former Italian intelligence agents on its staff, illegally accessed servers from several ministries and police forces among 2019 e 2024 to obtain confidential data.

According to the newspaper Yedioth AhronothEqualize collected sensitive files from prominent figures in Italy to sell them to corporations and law firms.

These customers, interested in obtaining competitive advantages, winning legal disputes or even engaging in blackmail and extortion activities, would be the main beneficiaries of the information.

The Italian Prime Minister, Melonsclassified Equalize’s operations as “unacceptable” and a “threat to democracy”. Currently, four individuals related to the case are detained, and dozens more are under investigation.

The objective would be to carry out cyber operations against Russian targets, including a figure close to the president Vladimir Putinwith the aim of mapping financial flows for the Wagner mercenary group, known for its work alongside Russia in the Ukrainian conflict.

The interceptions also indicate that Israeli agents offered Equalize documents from the scandal “Qatargate“, which involves bribery of European Parliament officials, and information about illicit gas trafficking involving Italian companies, which would be of interest to the national energy company, Eni.

The case takes on even more complex contours with the revelation that Israeli agents had coordinated with Lorenzo De Marcio, a former member of the Italian police and a well-known figure in intelligence circles, during his visit to Equalize’s headquarters.
