Over the past decade, technology company Nvidia (NVDA) has outperformed Bitcoin (BTC), according to recent analysis.

However, Swan Bitcoin CEO Cory Klippsten and investment strategist Lyn Alden express doubts about whether Nvidia can continue this trend over the next decade. Klippsten indicates that the chance that Nvidia will outperform Bitcoin over the next decade is “almost zero,” while Alden emphasizes her preference for Bitcoin.

Impressive returns from Nvidia

Data from Statmuse shows that Nvidia achieved an impressive return of 21,558% between May 23, 2014 and May 23, 2024, compared to 13,048% for Bitcoin. This success of Nvidia is largely attributed to the production of chips that are essential for artificial intelligence (AI) models. Nevertheless, in the three months following the approval of spot Bitcoin exchange-traded funds (ETFs) on January 10, Bitcoin performed slightly better with a return of 31.7% versus Nvidia’s 30.2%.

The Kobeissi Letter highlights that a $10,000 investment in Nvidia stock in 1999 would be worth $25.3 million today, highlighting Nvidia’s long-term growth potential. However, Daniel Sempere Pico argues that both Bitcoin and AI were seen as risky investments in 2014, with unclear potential for AI and a more predictable, but volatile, nature of Bitcoin.

Pico notes that both investments offered significant risks and returns, and that the unpredictability of AI contrasts with Bitcoin’s volatility. Known as “Sina” on

There are also optimistic Bitcoin predictions

Despite warnings about possible corrections, there are also optimistic predictions for Bitcoin. Former physics professor Giovanni Santostasi predicts, using the ‘Power Law’ model, that Bitcoin could reach a peak of $210,000 in January 2026, followed by a possible decline to $60,000.

These different perspectives show that while Nvidia and Bitcoin have both achieved impressive performances, the future of these investments still remains a matter of debate.
