Nvidia figures coming: this is what experts say about the price

After a sharp decline last week, the market is eagerly awaiting Nvidia’s (NVDA) quarterly results, which will be published on Wednesday. Despite the negative sentiment on the tech market, major analyst houses are actually increasing their price targets. What exactly do they expect and what does this mean for the NVIDIA price?

Nvidia’s share price is under pressure, but analysts remain positive

The Nvidia price has fallen significantly in recent days. Yet sentiment among analysts is surprisingly positive. Several major banks have increased their price targets in recent days and speak of strong growth prospects, especially in the data center division and new AI products.

Fubon Securities and Rothschild & Co Redburn increased their price targets to $250 and $245 respectively. Evercore ISI, Oppenheimer, Morgan Stanley and Wells Fargo also expect a strong price increase in the run-up to and after the figures.

Strong growth expected in data centers

According to Oppenheimer analyst Rick Schafer, Nvidia is well positioned to exceed Wall Street expectations. He predicts that Nvidia’s data center division, which accounts for 88 percent of total revenues, will grow by as much as 58 percent year-over-year. Schafer expects a turnover of $54.7 billion for the current quarter, and even $61.5 billion for the next quarter. His price target: $265.

JPMorgan’s Harlan Sur also sticks to its price target of $215. He mentions the GB300 Ultra chip as an important growth point, especially for AI applications that increasingly require more data capacity.

Average price target rises to $242

On the analysis platform TipRanks, the average price target for Nvidia is now $242, based on 39 analyst ratings in the past three months. This means that the potential from the current level is considerable. Especially as investors position themselves for a potentially strong quarter.

Morgan Stanley raised its price target from $210 to $220 on Friday, while Wells Fargo even scaled it up to $265, with revenue expectations between $50 and $60 billion.
