He United Left Front presented a request for information so that “the minister Pettovello and the officials of Human Capital Stop playing with the hunger of the people and tell us if they delivered the food stored in warehouses that is urgently needed in the soup kitchens where more and more people come every day in search of food assistance.” The request is signed by Nicholas del Caño and the rest of his fellow members: Christian Castillo, Alejandro Vilca, Monica Scholottauer and Vanina Biasi.

“How much was delivered, where, who delivered it, how much merchandise is stored and why, what condition it is in or if it is close to expiration, among other questions. We want them to be accountable, explain and distribute the food NOW because the workers in the soup kitchens continue to complain that nothing is being delivered.” These are some of the questions included in the document.

The context in which the Government decides to maintain the criminal policy of not delivering food to the soup kitchenswhich is the one to whom food is due, is a very deep social crisis, generated of course by the government itself. We are talking about a million children who go to bed without eating and more than 5 million pensioners who are below the poverty line.

“There are children who eat only once a day and now they don’t even eat that. It’s a huge blow to know that there is food available and families, including our grandparents, are dying of hunger,” Ana from the “Guerreras” Dining Hall told this media in this report that we prepared to give an account of the current situation that the dining halls are going through.

“In addition to requesting that the questions already asked be answered, we also demand the immediate distribution of the products by the Executive Branch to the cooks, the unemployed and their organizations so that food reaches the tables of the soup kitchens, together with the demand for an immediate increase in the social budget and the universalization of all assistance so that no family goes hungry, if necessary.
Expropriating the stocks of large food factories and supermarkets
. We also condemn the prosecution of the comrades of the Polo Obrero, as well as the judicial and political persecution of numerous social organizations, which is the counterpart of the emptying of soup kitchens and the hunger policy of Javier Milei’s government,” the request adds.

It is worth remembering that the workers of the soup kitchens are complaining that they have not received any type of food or meal from the national government since the end of last year.
