As Trump continues to escalate his authoritarian attacks on workers, immigrants, students, and oppressed people, millions of people are taking to the streets across the United States to confront his attacks. The October 18 “No Kings” protests are taking place in all 50 states and are the largest mobilizations in US history, a record already held by the 2020 Black Lives Matter uprising.

Many of those demonstrating have appeared wearing clothing with the word “Antifa,” a forceful rejection of President Trump’s threat to broadly crack down on anyone he claims is a “terrorist” for opposing far-right ideology.

Protests take place in larger cities such as New York, Washington, Chicago, Los Angeles, to small rural communities such as East Glacier Ridge, Montana, which has approximately 300 residents. Millions of protesters across the US. They are part of this journey.

These demonstrations are the consequence of President Trump’s unprecedented use of presidential power in his second term. Since January, Trump has ordered the National Guard to intervene in Democratic-run cities to quell protests and enforce immigration laws, cracked down and launched a campaign of persecution against left-wing and liberal groups, and carries out a mass deportation program using masked federal agents to conduct military-style raids and detain people without due process.

Together with our colleagues from Left Voice we follow the development of these mobilizations throughout the country, these are some images of this horrific mobilization.
