The Global Sumud flotilla has entered the risk zone, at least 150 nautical miles from Gaza. Italian frigates have retired and the Spanish has confirmed that it will not reach that point. Unidentified ships approach vessels. The interception alert by the state of Israel rises. The Israeli press has leaked that the arrest of the more than 500 activists embarked is expected.

Bruno Gilga, a member of the Left Daily International Network and part of the mission from Sirius, explains the situation.

Fleet members are transmitting live the action of the ships and will continue to do it as a security measure so that everyone can see them. They also have a real -time tracker that places the location of each boat.

We publish below the last official statement of the GSF:

Requires your government a safe step

The failure of governments has forced common citizens to assume extraordinary risks simply to fulfill their legal and moral obligations: to deliver humanitarian aid and open a maritime corridor that is desperately needed.

The murderous siege imposed on Gaza since 2007 has devastated all sectors. Today the situation is more than catastrophic.

At least, governments should demand a safe step for this legal mission and, most importantly, vital.
