Israel carried out an airstrike on a refugee camp in Rafah, in the Gaza Strip, resulting in at least 40 deaths. The action triggered a wave of international criticism, particularly against Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

In a statement through X, formerly known as Twitter, this Monday (27), the President of France, Emmanuel Macron, expressed his position regarding the incident.

“Outraged by the Israeli attacks that killed many displaced people in Rafah. These operations must stop. There are no safe areas in Rafah for Palestinian civilians. I call for full respect for international law and an immediate ceasefire,” Macron said.
