Trump speaks

“We are going to manage Venezuela,” said Donald Trump at a press conference after the military aggression and Maduro’s kidnapping.

And he warned: “We are ready for a second, much larger attack, but we probably don’t have to do it…we are going to stay until there is a transition.”

The US president added that “We cannot risk someone else taking control of Venezuela without taking into account the well-being of the Venezuelan people.” [después de] decades of that. “We are not going to allow that to happen.” He also indicated that “We are already there… we will stay until a proper transition can occur.”
