Israeli military leaders are allegedly opposed to Netanyahu’s plans, while the country faces growing diplomatic isolation
The Israeli army has placed parts of the city of Gaza and Khan Youis under new orders of forced displacement amid fears that the country’s prime minister, Benjamin Netanyahu, is preparing to order the total occupation of Palestinian territory later this week.
The latest order for Gaza – euphemistically described by Israel’s defense forces as a “evacuation” – is the latest of dozens of similar ads that have made the vast majority of Gaza’s population on several occasions.
The measure occurred after US President Donald Trump stateing that any decision on the expansion of Israeli control in Gaza would fit Israel. “As for the rest, I really can’t say. This will depend a lot on Israel,” he told reporters on Tuesday.
Many people returned to the city of Gaza relatively shortly after long periods of travel, and found their homes damaged by war and looted, with even doors and windows stolen in some cases.
While Gaza’s Ministry of Health reported that five more people starved in the coastal track, which was plunged into a devastating hunger crisis due to Israel’s total blockade at the entrance of help earlier this year, Jordan reported that a 30 truck aid train that had departed to Gaza was attacked by militant Jewish settlers upon Israel.
In the attack, the second incident of the type in days, Jordan accused Israel of not acting to prevent the repetition of the attacks. “This requires serious Israeli intervention and no leniency in dealing with those who obstruct these trains,” said Jordanian government spokesman Mohammad al-Momani.
Amid continuous scenes of desperate suffering in Gaza, where vast areas were turned into rubble fields by incessant Israeli attacks, the track’s Civil Defense Agency reported that 20 people were killed when a humanitarian aid truck overturned over a crowd.
“Twenty people died and dozens were injured around yesterday’s midnight in a truck carrying help [que] Potted… while hundreds of civilians were waiting for help, ”said agency spokesman Mahmoud Bassal.
The incident occurred near the Nusorde refugee camp, while the truck was driving a dangerous road that Israel had already bombarded, Bassal added.
The serious shortage of aid has caused trucks to enter gaza surrounded and looted by hungry Palestinians on several occasions, contributing to a generalized feeling of chaos.

The new forced displacement order for the city of Gaza occurs as the Israeli media reports Netanyahu’s apparent determination to proceed with an enlarged war after consultations with its military chiefs on Tuesday and despite the growing disqualification of active Israeli security authorities and former employees about proposals.
Critics of the plan say that any pressure from total occupation – a demand made by the far right of Israel – would endanger Israeli hostage lives in Gaza, could take one to two years to be fully reached and would occur at the expense of the country’s growing diplomatic isolation, with the increasingly horrified international community with their actions.
Among those who spoke against the plan on Wednesday was Israeli opposition leader Yair Lapid. “I told Netanyahu that occupying Gaza is a bad idea,” Lapid said after meeting with Prime Minister Israeli. “You don’t do such a movement if most of the population is not with you.”
Other critics include former Israeli Internal Security Service leaders Shin Bet, the Mossad espionage agency and the Armed Forces-as well as Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Barak. In a video posted on social networks this week, they said that government -right members are keeping Israel “hostage” to prolong the conflict.
Netanyahu’s goals in Gaza are “a fantasy,” said Yram Cohen, a former Shin Bet chief in the video.
Amid signs of divisions between Netanyahu and the military commanders, Defense Minister Israel Katz said on Wednesday that Army Chief of Staff Eyal Zamir could “express their opinions,” but that the military would have to “execute” any government decisions about Gaza.
Katz’s statement about X has occurred after reporting on the Israeli media in recent days have suggested that Zamir opposes the government’s plan to fully occupy the Gaza Strip.
“It is the right and duty of the Chief of Staff to express his position in the appropriate forums and, after the decisions are made by the political level, the [exército] It will perform them with determination and professionalism… until the goals of the war are achieved, ”wrote Katz.
“As Minister of Defense responsible for [exército] In the name of the government, I must ensure that these decisions are made – and so it will be, ”he added.
Zamir did not make any public statement on the matter, but would have expressed his opposition to the total military occupation of Gaza during a restricted meeting between Netanyahu and security heads on Tuesday.
According to public broadcaster Kan 11, Zamir warned that such an occupation would be a “trap”.
The measures occur after the Ministry of Health of Gaza said that at least 135 Palestinians, including 87 seeking help, were killed and 771 were injured in Israeli attacks in Gaza in the last 24 hours.
