Iran points out that expanding its defense capabilities is essential in the face of Israel’s military threats, considering the situation as “responsible and necessary” for its safety
Sobraeil Baghaei, a spokesman for Iran’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, said it is a “responsible and essential” attitude of maximizing his defense capabilities due to Israel’s threats. According to the Xinhua agency, he made the comments in a publication on the social media platform X on Thursday (27) at night, reacting to recent comments from Israel’s Foreign Minister, Gideon Sa’ar, who said that “Iran has enriched enough uranium for some bombs” and threatened the country with a military action to interrupt its nuclear program, as well as the constant criticism of the West to the efforts of teher Defense.
Baghaei said the Foreign Minister of Israel and other authorities “continue to threaten Iran with military actions while the West continues to blame Iran for their ability to defend.”
He described the Western criticisms as “outrageous and irrational,” adding: “In a region flagenized by an occupant entity (Israel) that is long addicted to illegal aggression and behavior, it is responsible and essential to maximize our defense capabilities.”
In an interview with the Brussels politician, published on Wednesday, Israel’s Foreign Minister said Iran was “playing with ways” to transform their nuclear material enriched into arms, adding that although Israel sought to follow a diplomatic path, the chances of success of such an approach “were not big.”
Sa’ar emphasized: “I believe that to prevent an Iranian nuclear program before it becomes a weapon, a reliable military option must be on the table.”
Iran has repeatedly affirmed that its nuclear program is peaceful, with its main objective the generation of electricity and the production of radiopharmaceuticals.
