Fire red. Communist reflections in the face of the ecological crisis of Esteban Mercatante
The ecological crisis, of which we see demonstrations such as fires, droughts, floods and other increasingly recurring disasters, finds its causes in the functioning of capitalism. Facing its consequences without changing from the root economic and social dynamics is not a possibility.
Given environmental disasters, it is not true that “we are all in the same ship.” The large companies and their magnates, either belonging to the sectors directly responsible for planetary destruction or the sectors of the supposed “green capitalism”, they can avoid the worst costs of ecological disorders. Its environmental agenda has the priority to defend profits. For the working class and popular majorities, allowing states and large companies to continue determining the answers to the ecological crisis, is to condemn us to live on an increasingly uninhabitable planet.
The new book of Esteban Mercatante, theoretically analyzes, taking up the contributions of critical and socialist environmentalists, the dynamics of capitalism that explain the disorders generated in the planetary systems, the fallacies of green capitalism as a remedy of them, and the alternatives that are raised to put an emergency brake and change the system before it is too late.

Tribute to Catalonia de George Orwell
The book of the world -known writer is a first -person chronicle of the Revolutionary Barcelona of 1936 and 1937, in the middle of the Spanish Civil War. In that city, the author describes that everything is collectivized: industry, public transport, cars turned into armored and the workers, soldiers, wearing blue Mameluco and red and red -white scarves. Relatives the preparations in the “Lenin barracks” of the POUM militia and how life was in the trenches of the Aragon Front, in the frosts of Alcubierre.
It also accounts for the great slander and betrayal to the revolution at the hands of the stalinism that the police controlled and denounces the proscription to the POUM. It reflects the paradox that while this party was persecuted in Barcelona under the government of the Popular Front, their militiamen continued to fight, many leaving their lives on the battlefield, without knowing that at the same time they were accused of “plot” with fascism.
The present work shows us a revolution inside, where his story becomes alive, as living and intense was the class struggle in its maximum peak that led the author to write this work that shakes and challenges our time.

Ecomunism. Defend life: destroy the system The Ariel Petruccelli
The ecological crisis is an increasingly hot issue, in the context of a capitalist system that, to sustain itself, deepens it day by day. This book investigates the close connection between that crisis and capitalism, seeking to elaborate a rigorous explanation of its reasons.
At the same time, drawing a state of the question of the current environmental debate, critically analyzes various positions, from technopymism to nineteenth -century, through the proposals of a Green New Deal and the collapses and anticolapsist looks, from a Marxist perspective.
On that tour, the author recovers the elaborations of Manuel Sacristán (pioneer in the treatment of the ecological issue in Marxism) and the anarchist Bernard Charbonneau (a great critic of ecologism mainstream).
It is a fundamental work to highlight the importance of a revolutionary environmentalism and a communism with an ecological perspective: ecomunism.

Marx, women and capitalist social reproduction of Martha E. Gomena
Forgotten for several decades, Marxist feminism was revalued with the rise of the last feminist wave, which put into debate the relationship between capitalism and reproduction of life. Marxist feminists have that merit: that of having discussed, from various approaches, the structural link that exists between the (free) social reproduction that is carried out in the domestic sphere and the capitalist exploitation, through which the class owner of the means of production obtains surplus value of the surplus work of the wage class. The collective result of this theoretical production is diverse, contradictory and captivating; But above all, vital and a forceful demonstration that there is no social and political emancipatory proposal that can do without dialogue with Marxism. The compilation of Martha E. Giménez essays that IPS editions present for the first time in Spanish and that cover its intellectual work from the 1970s to the first decade of our century, it reveals part of that theoretical and political effort of Marxist feminism that, without a doubt, will astonish and captivate the new generations of feminists, socialists and Marxists of these latitudes.
