The University of Buenos Aires (UBA) has been one of the epicenters of the conflict, with the historic takeover of faculties such as Law, Medicine, Psychology, FADU, Exactas, Social and Philosophy and Letters, to which others are being added as The week progresses, more than 6 faculties of the National University of La Plata. In the assemblies, debates and measures of struggle, a forceful repudiation of Milei’s veto is expressed, which attacks public education and reflects the adjustment that affects the majority of working people. Added to the difficulties in maintaining the course, aggravated by the government’s adjustment and the lack of student tickets, are the cuts to pensions and attacks on public health. This harsh reality is experienced by the vast majority and is manifested in the assemblies through the voices of students, teachers, non-teachers and health workers who begin to converge in the assemblies, public classes and measures that extend throughout the country.
In addition to the takeovers, massive assemblies, marches and public classes are being carried out in all regions, according to what we are reporting from the Diario Left, fighting measures are being carried out at some level in at least 90 Faculties, showing the magnitude that the university rebellion is reaching. In the University of Buenos Aires It was voted to take over several powers, more than 5 cuts in the center of CABA.
In the National University of La Plata (UNLP)a torchlight march that will take place on Thursday was voted on within the framework of the fight plan.
In the University of Córdobaseveral faculties such as Arts, Communication, Philosophy, Chemical Sciences, Medicine, Architecture, Psychology and Languages have voted to adhere to the combat measures, and will participate in an interfaculty meeting on Wednesday, October 16 at 6:00 p.m. in the Patio Olmos.
The National University of Cuyo (UNCuyo) Public classes have been scheduled for Tuesday and Wednesday, and the takeover of the Faculty of Arts and the Rectorate was voted on Wednesday. On Thursday, there will be a mobilization to the Legislature together with teachers.
The National University of Jujuy (UNJu) The takeover of the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences (FHyCS) is maintained, and on Wednesday, October 16, the rectorate will be taken over, accompanied by a street blockade.
At the National University of Rosario (UNR), the Faculty of Humanities and Arts continues with taking and cessation of activities, while in Political Science, International Relations and Psychology, there is taking without cessation of activities.
In the National University of Mar del Platathe takeovers continue in the faculties of Humanities, Health, Exact, Psychology and Medicine, with public classes on Tuesday and Wednesday and a teaching strike on Thursday and Friday. On Friday they will mobilize against Milei’s presence in the city.
In the National University of San Martín (UNSAM)a cut in General Paz was voted as the main resolution on Wednesday, in coordination with other sectors in struggle.
In the National University of General Sarmiento (UNGS)coordination with other universities was decided for Tuesday, October 15 at 3:00 p.m., joining the cut of Route 8 at 6:00 p.m. together with the National University of Luján (UNLu).
In the National University of Tres de Febrero (UNTref)the seizure of the third headquarters and participation in the General Paz cut was voted, also on Wednesday, together with UNSAM.
In the National University of José C. Paz (UNPAZ)In addition to taking over for 48 hours, public classes and cultural activities were voted and to converge at a cut on route 197 and Alem on Wednesday at 5 p.m.
