The International Court of Justice had recently ordered Israel’s withdrawal from the area, adding to the controversy surrounding the attack.
Egypt called the bombing “deliberate” and called for the immediate implementation of the measures ordered by the ICJ.
O Qatar Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed concern about the impact of the attack on mediation efforts for a ceasefire. Tension in the region has increased, especially after Hamas launched rockets into Tel Aviv.
In Europe, the President of France, Emmanuel Macron, expressed indignation and demanded that Israel respect international law. Josep Borrell, head of European Union foreign policy, reinforced the need to respect the decisions of the International Court of Justice, in contrast to the actions of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
