Interest in XRP continues to grow as prominent voices from the financial world recognize the digital network as robust and future-proof. In a recent interview, Chris Giancarlo, former chairman of the regulator CFTC, emphasized that banks will soon no longer be able to ignore XRP.
‘We should take our hats off to XRP’
In a conversation with Paul Barron, Giancarlo called XRP an example of resilience in a hostile regulatory environment. “We should all take our hats off to XRP,” he said. He was referring to the ongoing legal pressure from SEC Chairman Gary Gensler and Senator Elizabeth Warren, among others, on the crypto sector.
According to Giancarlo, XRP’s determination to survive shows that the network is not only mature, but also ready for a greater role in global payment transactions. As soon as legislation provides more clarity, he believes that the banks’ last excuse, the lack of regulation, will also disappear.
Banks must modernize digitally
Giancarlo stated that banks will have to quickly switch to digital networks. Not only to remain competitive, but also because legislation will force them to do so. He sees an important role for XRP in that digital landscape, due to its proven stability and the existing ecosystem.
While he also cited other networks such as the Canton Network as promising, he emphasized that XRP has shown the most practical applications and resilience to date.
Increasing recognition for XRP
The fact that these words come from a former top CFTC official gives them added weight. It reinforces the view that XRP is more than a survivor in the crypto market: it is a serious candidate for institutional adoption.
Crypto analyst Xaif shared the clip on social media, further fueling attention. He emphasized that, according to Giancarlo, XRP has a structural advantage in the coming phase of digital financial integration. Banks looking for efficient and secure settlement networks would be left with almost no other choice.
