The Global Sumud Flotilla announced what will be its most ambitious mission and that it will depart in the spring of this year 2026, possibly in the month of April.
Unlike previous missions that sought to break Israel’s siege of the Gaza Strip by bringing aid of all kinds to the Palestinian people and making visible the horror of the genocide in progress, which sparked protests around the world, the current mission will directly confront the ethnic cleansing plans drawn up by Israel and the United States, and supported by the European powers, to expel the Palestinian people from their lands and divide up the multi-billion dollar construction business.
To achieve this, the Sumud Global Flotilla will set sail hundreds of boats with more than 3,000 professionals from different areas who will seek to show how it is possible to help the Palestinian population facing Israel’s genocidal policy, with a beneficial reconstruction for the Gazans, a protection force for the local population that really protects them and does not kill them as happened with the joint forces of Israel and American mercenaries, or as they intend with the establishment of an international military force. At the same time, they will once again question Israel’s siege on the Strip, aiming to multiply the protests and demonstrations that were seen around the last flotilla and which had the blockades and the general strike in Italy as one of its highest points.
“In response to a direct call from Palestinians in Gaza, the Sumud Global Flotilla is preparing to set sail again this spring with thousands of participants, more than a hundred vessels and broader objectives.
This mission not only seeks to break the siege and deliver vital humanitarian aid, but also to establish a sustained civilian presence. Teams of doctors, nurses, teachers, eco-builders, unarmed civilian protectors and others will disembark to work alongside the Palestinian people as they continue to endure the constant attacks of the Israeli regime and begin to rebuild health systems and basic infrastructure destroyed over the past two years.
This mission is not limited to those at sea. It’s about the millions of people around the world who are ready to say “Enough!” People prepared to inherit the responsibility abandoned by governments and institutions, take to the streets and demand change.
This historical moment requires collective participation. Guided by the Palestinians’ steadfast struggle for liberation, our coalition of people and movements is mobilizing communities around the world to act. Together, we rise against apartheid, racism, imperialism, colonialism, ecocide and all systems of oppression,” begins the explanation of the new mission.
THEY WILL NOT SILENCE US, THEY WILL NOT STOP US, announces the official website of the Global Sumud Flotilla, whose registration will open soon to begin the organization.
Among the central objectives of the mission, the following stands out:
1. Help break the siege: Directly confront the illegal blockade and affirm the right of Palestinians to access their coast and the world beyond it.
2. Delivery of vital aid: Delivery of large-scale humanitarian aid, including food, baby formula, school supplies, and medicine.
3. Establish an unarmed protective presence: deploy trained civil protectors to work alongside communities to deter violence and document violations.
4. Support for reconstruction: Dedicated teams remain to accompany Palestinians in the early stages of rebuilding homes, schools and hospitals.
5. Facing complicity: Expose the international complicity that allows the blockade and mobilize global civil society to demand accountability.
6. Catalyze global popular action: transform the flotilla into a catalyst for coordinated mobilizations on land and sea, amplify Palestinian voices and empower people around the world to act where governments and institutions have failed.
The International Network La Izquierda Diario, and the Permanent Revolution Current (Fourth International) that promotes it, actively participated in the last Global Sumud Flotilla with representatives on board and on land from Brazil and Barcelona, and a global follow-up of the Mission with actions in different countries the day Israel attacked the Flotilla and detained its crew members.
Like the last time, we have already begun to organize to participate in this new mission to Gaza.
