Milei completed one year of government. A year in which he sought to attack the living conditions and rights of the vast majority, with a plan to completely surrender the country. He did it by dint of decrees, repression and corruption. The Kueider case shows that in addition to the complicit votes, the measure most celebrated by the right and big businessmen, the Bases Law, was born from a great act of corruption.
Many of these government attacks could also have passed through the complicit attitude of Peronism and its union leadership. That aid is also one year old.
But the resistance that we presented to him also celebrates one year, despite all those attacks and complicities.the combative sectors, the left and all those who remained standing. December 20, 2023 was the first protest against the measures that Milei-Villaruel were carrying out. and many governors. This year, each fight had to face the repressive apparatus of Patricia Bullrich, Jorge Macri and the provincial police. But we don’t stop protesting. Until imposing two strikes on the CGT and other strikes on the transport unions, state and others. Until achieving two massive university mobilizations and strong protests against the Bases Law.
Today, one year after that mobilization that marked that we were going to face Milei’s plan, we are going to return to Plaza de Mayo and other squares in the country. Let’s go to vindicate the history of resistance of our working peopleagainst all the governments that came to impose more hunger, poverty and surrender on us, to take away our rights. Let’s claim the resistance that we are carrying out but also to organize what allows us to defeat Milei’s plan and impose all the workers’ and popular demands.
The day is being prepared together with dozens of organizations in the AMBA and throughout the country: pensions, human rights organizations, social and student organizations, sectors in struggle and combative unionism, the Unity Left Front and other political organizations. Let’s go Say no to undemocratic political reforms who want politics to be for the parties of businessmen and the caste, outlawing the left. Let’s go denounce that the Bases Law is corrupt and must be annulled. And we are going to continue organizing, against the truce of Peronism and the CGT, resistance to Milei’s plan until defeating him.
