Expert: XRP is going to reach a ‘huge amount’ after the end of the sec case

Bitcoin (BTC) reached a new all-time high from 122,800 dollars on Monday. This also caused fireworks at XRP, which is currently at a value of $ 2.89. There may be even more waiting if we have to believe Yoshitaka Kitao, the CEO of SBI Holdings.

XRP course gets wings after lawsuit

Kitao provides a “very high price” for XRP as soon as the dragging lawsuit between Ripple and the American Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) officially ends. We were already told by Ripple CEO Brad Garlinghouse that the crypto company is withdrawing its counter profession. Remarkably, we have not heard from the supervisor yet. But it is in line with expectations that they too withdraw their profession. We can then close the legal chapter definitively.

How high XRP can rise in this case, the SBI Holdings CEO does not say that. But a new all-time high seems likely. It was last reached in 2018 and came to $ 3.40. More than seven years later and we still have no new peak value of XRP, although it only saved a hair in January.

It shows how much pressure the case has been on the price of the digital currency. But we are getting closer to the all-time high. And a positive end of the case can just give the token the push in the back to a record high.

The Trump effect

Incidentally, it is not the first time that Kitao speaks out positively about Ripple’s crypto coin. In 2023 he already predicted a significant increase when the judge ruled that the private sale of XRP does not fall under the securities legislation.

This was one of the reasons for the SEC to enter into the lawsuit. The verdict had major consequences for the entire crypto industry, and worked out well in this case. The course then exploded and managed to double in one day.

Nevertheless, a period of lateral growth followed. We had to wait for another statement about the direct sale of XRP to institutional customers. In the summer of 2024 we received a judgment about this. XRP had to pay a fine of 125 million dollars. A damper, but considerably lower than the initial requirement of 2 billion dollars. Then the SEC decided to appeal, followed by Ripple with a counter profession.

But with the re-election of Donald Trump, a pro-Crypto wind blew through Washington. That is why we ended up where we are now. After all these years, an end seems to be in sight.
