Eve Air Mobility, Embraer company dedicated to the development of vertical landing and takeoff electric aircraft (EVTOL), has announced two new agreements that expand their operations in the urban air mobility market. In all, the company can provide up to 104 units of the model, strengthening its transition from the development phase to that of commercial execution.

According to information published by Folha de S.Paulo, EVE signed a letter of intent with the US operator Future Flight Global for the possible sale of up to 54 EvTol aircraft.

The partnership was released days after the announcement of another contract, this binding, with the Brazilian company REVO and its controller, Omni Helicopters International, providing for the acquisition of up to 50 aircraft.

The financial terms of the agreement with Future Flight Global were not detailed, but EVE’s Vice President Megha Bhatia said the understanding “launches the foundations for substantial orders for future as they expand their fleet.”

The operator has plans to start her activities in Brazil, focusing on the city of São Paulo, considered one of the largest urban air traffic hubs in the world, with over 200 helipads and an estimated fleet of 400 helicopters. The expansion to other metropolitan regions, such as Rio de Janeiro, is also in the plans.

The contract with Rev, in turn, represents an advance in EVE’s delivery schedule. The operation, with estimated value of R $ 1.39 billion, provides that the first aircraft be delivered from the fourth quarter of 2027.

“These aircraft will be fundamental to enable our Mobility Transformation Project offered by REVO, providing a safe, sustainable and scalable solution, capable of connecting people and raising the convenience standard for our customers,” said João Welsh, CEO of Rev.

Eve Air Mobility has emphasized that these agreements mark a phase change. After years focused on the development and validation of technology, the company now enters the execution stage of the urban air transport model it projects. The company also sees these partnerships as strategic to consolidate its presence in the global urban air mobility sector.

EVE’s operational plan involves the integration of various modes to offer a complete door -to -door transport solution.

The proposal includes the combined use of land vehicles, specific boarding areas, and short flights operated by electric aircraft, connecting strategic points of large urban centers. An example cited is the route between the south of the city of São Paulo and the Guarulhos International Airport, one of the main displacement corridors of the capital.

Eve’s real scale prototype developed by Eve has already been presented at international fairs and events, especially the project based on electric propulsion and focus on reducing emissions. The aircraft is being developed to meet the needs of urban displacement with less environmental impact compared to conventional helicopters.

Evtols is expected to operate regularly in the coming years, as an alternative to traditional urban transport in regions with high population density. Commercial operations also depend on specific regulations, aeronautical certifications and adequate infrastructure for boarding and landing in urban areas.

EVE is an Embraer subsidiary created with an exclusive focus on urban air mobility solutions. The company’s project includes not only the development of the aircraft, but also the structuring of complete ecosystems involving urban air traffic management, maintenance networks and operation support systems in metropolitan areas.

In addition to agreements with Future Flight Flight Global and REVO, EVE had previously announced other letters of intent with national and international operators, totaling thousands of pre-registered units in different phases of contractual commitment.

In the global scenario, aviation and technology companies vie for leadership in the EVTOLs segment, which includes manufacturers, operators and infrastructure suppliers. EVE seeks to position itself as one of the first to achieve significant commercial scale, based on Embraer’s technical experience and adapting aviation solutions to the urban environment.

The next steps involve compliance with certification schedules and the consolidation of operational structures in target markets. The company maintains the objective of commercial operations in the second half of the decade, with an initial focus on regions with infrastructure already consolidated for urban flights and government support for innovation in transportation.
