Castillo, who was a member of the investigative commission on the case, highlighted the obstacles that the process had: “the final report […] It was presented in the month of November very laboriously because the members of the executive summoned to testify did not go and the justice system did not want to act as an assistant to the commission, which was what was appropriate.” In that sense, he added: “there already one sees a cover-up matrix.”

Regarding the judicial progress, he was categorical: “Prosecutor Taiano, after 13 months, 13 months, has not called a person for investigation despite the enormous amount of evidence.” And he reinforced his complaint by pointing out that “what was stated by the president […] “It was a lie.”

In his presentation, Castillo detailed the links between Milei and the promoters of the crypto project: “he had had multiple meetings in Olivos and in Casa Rosada with Novelli and Terrones Godoy and Hayden Davis”, and underlined a key point: “Milei posts a 44-digit alphanumeric code that no one else had the inside information.”

For the PTS leader, what happened with $LIBRA constitutes a fraudulent maneuver: “here it was a maneuver called rug pull, where people who have the purchase through insider information hope that the price of the asset will inflate […] and then he sells it for a difference of 180 million dollars.” And he summarized: “that […] It is a scam here and in China.”

In this framework, he raised the need to advance politically against the President: “when the political responsibility of a president in a scam and in the promotion of a business that is at odds with the public ethics law is proven, the impeachment commission must investigate.” And he added: “Milei was involved in an act of corruption.”

But the crossing was not limited to the $LIBRA case. When asked about the Government’s international policy and a possible alignment with the United States, Castillo was even more forceful: “Argentina’s foreign policy is what the United States and Israel dictate. Since when? How is one country going to define its policy based on what another says? That is a colony.”

And he concluded with the definition that summarized his position: “This is a policy of a proconsul of Emperor Milei, a colonial official like Milei.” Along these lines, he insisted: “as long as Milei is in government, our policy will be that of a colony of the United States.”

Castillo’s intervention occurred in a debate marked by strong disagreements with other panelists, where he also questioned the role of Justice and the links between officials and businessmen, in a cause that – as he maintained – “is being laid bare.”
