The Dominance of Ethereum
Ethereum has been the undisputed number two in the crypto world for years, directly behind Bitcoin (BTC). It was the first blockchain to introduce smart contracts on a large scale, allowing developers to build decentralized applications (Dapps). This laid the foundation for innovations such as decentralized finance (Defi) and Non-Fungible tokens (NFTs).
Thanks to this early lead, Ethereum has grown into the standard for blockchain development. The network still attracts by far the most developers and projects, so that new innovations and upgrades almost always appear on Ethereum before other networks take over. According to Ansem, this ensures that Ethereum retains its leading position.
XRP lacks flexibility
Although XRP is a strong player in cross -border payments, according to Ansem it is far behind Ethereum when it comes to versatility. Where Ethereum is a breeding ground for developers, smart contracts and Defi, XRP offers considerably fewer options for new applications. Moreover, there is no strong stimulus such as strike, which limits the adoption of the network.
In addition, Ansem believes that the long -awaited breakthrough of XRP in the traditional banking system will never be fully realized. Despite Ripple’s efforts to enter into collaborations with financial institutions, this has not yet led to mass adoption. As a result, the impact of XRP is limited and it is not possible to conquer a dominant position in the crypto industry.
