LA OPINIÓN DE MÁLAGA presents the first Banco Sabadell Company of the Year Awards at the Miramar Hotel, which highlight the best initiatives in Málaga and the province in 2023 and their contribution to achieving a fairer, prosperous and advanced society

In an environment full of challenges, Malaga’s business community stood out in 2023 for its achievements and showed remarkable improvement despite global complexities. La Opinión de Málaga and Banco Sabadell, with the collaboration of Joyería MARCOS, Ubico Corporate Mobility and Vueling delivers this Wednesday at the Miramar Hotel from the capital of the Costa del Sol the Company of the Year Awards, which highlight the efforts of the Malaga business community and its contribution to progress.

The alliance of Banco Sabadell and Prensa Ibérica for the organization of the Banco Sabadell Company of the Year Awards constitutes the best expression of the vocation that both companies share in the promotion and progress of Spanish society through the indispensable work carried out by our business community.

Los ‘Banco Sabadell Company of the Year Awards’ organised by La Opinión de Málaga They aim to promote business entrepreneurship through the example and inspiration provided by the most cutting-edge companies, support the demands of the business community and identify the projects that best meet the needs of today’s society.

An initiative that aims to highlight the decisive contribution of our productive fabric and its important contribution to the economy. These awards represent recognition of the effort, talent and work that our businessmen and women put at the service of society in a constantly changing environment.

Support for our entrepreneurs is key to moving forward. It is companies that generate growth, quality employment, investment, opportunities and, ultimately, new horizons. Its decisive contribution to the construction of a better society is unquestionable.

The winners are men and women who, with a spirit of sacrifice and the will to improve, expand our possibilities and help us achieve new levels of well-being and prosperity.

Eight categories

DCOOP (Company of the Year), Federico Beltran (Entrepreneur of the Year), Airzone (Sustainability), CLECE (Inclusive Company), SHIRT (Family business), Freepik (Innovation), Trops (Internationall) and Noki (Startup) are the first winners of the Banco Sabadell Awards. It should be noted that the first seven categories have been chosen by a professional jury. However, the eighth, the Regarding Best Startup, it was chosen by popular vote among the readers of the three Andalusian media of Prensa Ibérica: La Opinión de Málaga, Diario Córdoba and Correo de Andalucía.

Seven companies based in Malaga and the province and one businessman with many years of professional experience They stand out for their marked contribution to the well-being and progress of society, through the generation of wealth, employment, providing innovation, contributing to sustainability and the fight against climate change, caring for people and acting with responsibility and leadership. This was decided by the jury, made up of ten people with members of the staff of La Opinión de Málaga, Banco Sabadell, Málaga City Council, University of Málaga, Confederation of Entrepreneurs of Andalusia, Eurecat Innova Málaga, GARÁNTIA and Ubico Corporate Mobility.

Awards

Dcoop receives the Company of the Year Award for its consolidated track record, its sustained growth and its social responsibility and environmental disclosure. Federico Beltrán, president of the Famadesa meat company, is the Businessman of the Year for his good work at the head of this company that breaks turnover records year after year and that will soon expand its production plant to 20,000 square meters.

The award for the most sustainable company goes to Airzone whose control systems adapt the operation of the air conditioning equipment to the characteristics of each building and the needs of each user. He Family Business falls to SandoAcronym for Sánchez Domínguez, a sustainable multinational with 50 years of experience that is mainly dedicated to the construction of infrastructure and the management and operation of urban services, committing to each project and providing and seeking innovative solutions in addition to offering the client the highest quality in each of the actions.

TROPS, emblem of the Malaga region of Axarquía and leading Spanish company in the production and marketing of avocado, mango and other tropical cropsdeserves the award for +International Company for its great expansion and its management model. Freepik, a company specialized in the development of tools creative generative AI and in the distribution of graphic and audiovisual content, is highlighted as the +Innovative Company. Clece has been awarded the +Inclusive Company Award for its commitment to society, where more than 81,000 professionals serve more than one and a half million users and clients. Finally, Nonoki, a company from Malaga which offers a cheaper alternative for streaming music, has been awarded the Best Startup Award.
