The initiative seeks to establish unified global patterns for master’s and doctorate programs in engineering, supplying a gap in the recognition of high level talents in this sector.

The meeting also resulted in new partnerships between Chinese universities and institutions of different continents. Among them are the Jiaotong University of Beijing, the University of Tongji and the University of Chongqing, which signed cooperation agreements with universities such as the Valencia Polytechnic (Spain), Unicamp (Brazil), the Bandung Institute of Technology (Indonesia), the National University of San Marcos (Peru), the University of NairĂ³bi (Kenya) and the National University of Laos. These collaborations will focus on the formation of excellence engineers through joint projects and academic exchange programs.
