China has set goals for the adoption of IA -based devices in various sectors of its economy in the latest national plan for artificial intelligence, aiming to reach at least 70% of technology by 2027 and over 90% by 2030.
The goals, released in Guidelines of the State Council on Tuesday (26), are part of the strategy “IA Plus”, which seeks to integrate cutting-edge technology with manufacturing, agriculture and services sectors.
Amid the intensification of technological rivalry with the United States, the world’s second largest economy has redoubled efforts to ensure a leadership position in next -generation technologies.
According to the document, the strategy intends to “boost productivity, reshape the way industries operate and accelerate the growth of an intelligent economy and society, based on the collaboration between humans and machines, the integration between sectors and the co -creation.”
The document also provides a strong incentive for the development of smartphones, computers, robots, appliances and weather -powered devices, as well as connected cars.
The “Ia Plus” strategy follows the 2015 Internet Plus initiative, which helped turn China a highly digitized society using the internet as a productivity and innovation engine.
The new guidelines promised to accelerate AI integration with the metaverse, low altitude aviation and brain -compute interfaces, while exploring new AI -based intelligent products.
“We hope that the China AI ecosystem experiences rapidly growing, driven by both policy support and technological advances,” said Rao Shaoyang of the China Telecom Research Institute.
AI industry is expected to become a relevant engine of economic growth, adding over 11 trillion yuans to China’s GDP by 2035 – about 4 to 5% of total production – according to Rao Shaoyang, director of China Telecom Research Institute, in a speech at China’s computer power conference.
In a survey released on Wednesday, Kaiyuan Securities analysts said the support of central policy to the sector is strengthening. “We are optimistic that AI will flourish and will be implemented at a rapid pace,” the authors wrote.
“The recent launch of the Deepseek V3.1 model will support the development of next -generation domestic chips. We hope that the China AI ecosystem will grow rapidly, driven by both government support and technological advances,” the researchers said.
