China, global technological power, unbeatable advances and dominates 37 of the 44 strategic sectors, leaving rivals like US and Europe back in the dispute for innovation!
China leads the world as a superpower in science and technology. The Asian nation leads in 37 of the 44 technological sectors analyzed by an Australian Think Tank.
“Our research reveals that China has built the foundations to position itself as the main global superpower in science and technology,” says the Australian Institute of Strategic Policy (ASPI). In addition, the country has established impressive leadership in high -impact research in most critical and emerging technology areas.
“China’s global leadership extends to 37 of the 44 technologies that ASPI is currently monitoring,” says the report. In fact, these technologies cover a wide range of crucial fields, including defense, space, robotics, energy, environment, biotechnology, artificial intelligence, advanced materials and key areas of quantum technology.
China surpasses the USA
According to Newsmax, in the other sects, the United States were in second place. On the other hand, according to ASPI, China leads “all the ten main research institutions in the world.” In addition, the country produces “nine times more high -impact research articles than runner -up, most of the time the US.”
Among the notable areas of Chinese excellence are technologies related to defense and space. China leads the world in technology, however, these are the sects in which the US leads China in the tracker: high performance computing, design and advanced integrated circuits, natural language processing (including recognition and speech analysis and text), quantum computing, vaccines and medical contracted, small satellites and space launch systems.
China surpasses the US! An alert for the West?
“Western democracies are losing global technological competition,” the report warns. In addition, they face difficulties in race for scientific and research advances. It is also important to highlight that the ability to retain global talents, a crucial ingredient for the development of important technologies, is declining.
The tracker describes his findings as “a call to democratic nations.” Therefore, it is essential that these nations reevaluate their technological strategies.
“The race to be the next most important technological power is fierce between the United Kingdom and India,” the report explains. Both countries are among the top five in 29 of the 44 technologies. On the other hand, South Korea and Germany come close behind, appearing between the five main countries in 20 and 17 technologies, respectively.
“Australia is among the top five in nine technologies,” the report continues. According to him, Italy appears in seven technologies, while Iran is six. Already Japan and Canada are among the top five in four technologies each.
Russia, Singapore, Saudi Arabia, France, Malaysia and the Netherlands are in the top five in one or two technologies. Finally, several other countries, including Spain and Türkiye, often enter the top 10, but are not in the top five.
