Although little publicized by the media, this Thursday the “Argentina-Israel Business Meeting 2026” took place, in which important figures from the business and political establishment took part, and in which they sought to lay the foundations for a deepening of bilateral relations between Argentina and the Zionist entity, which continues to deprive the Gazan population of basic supplies while already bombing the enclave more than 100 times since the beginning of the ceasefire.
The meeting was organized by the Argentine-Israeli Chamber of Commerce, directed by arms businessman Mario Montoto, and by the Israeli Embassy in Argentina. As announced, from May and June of next year they will launch a mission in innovation and technology in areas such as cybersecurity, water or energy, among others.
In this sense, Ambassador Eyal Sela announced the next visit of Israeli businessmen since “The changes that Argentina is promoting generate curiosity and enthusiasm in Israel. There is a clear perception of opportunity.” The precedent of the interference of Mekorot, the company that denies drinking water to Palestinians, which currently plays a key role in the looting of this fundamental resource in several provinces, is a clear warning sign. Sela was accompanied by the president of the DAIA, Mauro Berenstein.
In this meeting that did not deprive itself of celebrating the colonialist policy of the State of Israel, figures from the ruling party were present such as the Buenos Aires legislator of La Libertad Avanza Pilar Ramirez, the libertarian shipowner Sebastián Pareja and the Secretary of Worship and Civilization Nahuel Sotelo and government allies such as the Head of the Buenos Aires Government Jorge Macri.
However, Fuerza Patria was also present with the governor of Catamarca Raúl Jalil and the former Minister of Education Nicolás Trotta, who has just been elected to the Chamber of Deputies on the Buenos Aires list headed by Jorge Taiana and Juan Grabois. It is clear that it was not enough for Leandro Santoro to establish the Parliamentary Group of Friends of the State of Israel and new leaders in the space wanted to make explicit their support for this colonialist entity.
At the event, media figures such as right-wing Eduardo Fenimann received awards for his “support for the values of Israel” and Alfredo Leuco, who even filmed a documentary to justify the murderous policy on the Palestinian population.
It was particularly striking that several prominent members of the repressive forces of our country were present at a meeting dedicated to business, precisely when it was a meeting motivated by a warlike state. Among them were Genoveva Ferrero, president of the Police Family Foundation, Chief Commissioner Marcelo El Haibe who is the general director in charge of International Coordination of Interpol, General Prefect of the Argentine Naval Prefecture Guillermo José Jiménez Pérez and Chief Commissioner Alejandro Ñamandú. One more example of the close relationship between the Creole repressive forces and the Israeli army that dates back, at least, to the times of the Civil-Military Dictatorship.
In this sense, the presence of characters from the judicial caste such as Mariano Borinsky and Carlos Mahiques, judges of the Criminal Cassation Chamber, the always present prosecutor Carlos Stornelli or Marcelo Aguinsky, judge in Economic Criminal Matters, cannot be overlooked. Another example of where justice is headed in Argentina, without disguising too much.
In tune, this Friday, as part of his new trip to the United States to meet with businessmen, the president will once again visit the tomb of Rabbi Menachem Mendel Schneerson, who was leader of the obscurantist Zionist and ultra-Orthodox organization Chabad Lubavich.
